e-shelter security was founded in 2003 in Frankfurt, Germany, and was instrumental in developing and supporting the high security requirements of multiple e-shelter data centers (acquired by NTT Communications in 2015 and now operating as NTT Global Data Centers EMEA) throughout Europe. Any security breach, safety accident or building incident could potentially cause millions, if not billions of dollars, in lost revenue and brand equity. This has never happened, and we continue to mitigate security and safety risk across a variety of industries throughout Europe.
As a result of designing, implementing and operating security systems for one of the most essential industries in the ever evolving digital economy, we have grown to embrace and leverage innovative technologies to provide the most sophisticated security solutions as well as the most modern Smart Building features on the market. Dr. Tristan Haage is Managing Director at e-shelter security since 2018 and is in charge of technology and business development as well as sales. The physicist is driving the development of new solutions and the business with Smart Building IoT and innovative security technology. Dr. Tristan Haage started his professional career as a project manager at Siemens Management Consulting and worked in international management and as a board member with a manufacturer of IP video cameras and software.
Rupprecht Rittweger co-founded e-shelter security in 2003 and drives the growth of security and digitization. As managing director of Investa Holding GmbH, he has decades of experience in the real estate industry which he combines with the innovations of his prop-tech venture capital firm Anyon. Furthermore, Rittweger founded the data centers company e-shelter services, now part of the Global Data Centers division of NTT Ltd., in 2000, and as the CEO he was responsible for corporate management till July 2019 and remained on board as company Chairman until 2021.
Peter Wenzel joined the management team of e-shelter security in 2021. The building engineer started his career in several functions in the construction industry and led him to the field of facility management in 2000. At Apleona and Strabag PFS, Peter Wenzel was responsible for high-profile national and international client accounts such as IBM, Telekom, Postbank or Deutsche Post DHL. With over 20 years of experience in the FM industry, he strengthens the operational service delivery and as COO he is responsible for project management, construction as well as operations and service.
In 1991, Kai Friedrich began a career in the field of IT network and system technology parallel to his engineering studies. After positions as technical manager as well as founder and managing director of an IT system house, he was responsible for the development of industry-specific adaptations in addition to managing ERP implementation projects. Since 2003, he has supported e-shelter security in the development and operation of security solutions in the area of physical building security. Since 2014, he has been in charge of IT and technology management at e-shelter security, and since 2021, as CTO, he also leads product management, standardization, solution design, planning as well as purchasing, IT digitization, and quality and process management.
