Source of personal data

We will process personal data that we receive from you when your visit our website, when you contact us by email, or when you complete our contact form.

Categories of personal data that are processed

(1) Calling up our website

If you visit or use our website for information purposes only, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we will only collect personal data that are transmitted to our server by your browser. The Cookie Banner captures and stores the consent for cookie use for the respective user of our website. It is guaranteed by our Cookie Banner that statistical and marketing cookies are only set when the user has given his explicit consent to use them.

For this purpose, we store information on the extent to which the user has confirmed the use of cookies. The user’s decision can be revoked at any time by accessing the setting for cookies and managing the declaration of consent. Existing cookies are deleted after revocation of consent. A cookie is also set to store information about the status of the user’s consent, which is referred to in the cookie details. Furthermore, the IP address of the respective user is transmitted to Borlabs servers when this service is called up. To use those services you will generally have to provide additional personal data, which we will then use to provide the service you have selected and which are subject to the aforementioned data processing principles.

(2) If you contact us by email, the data you have provided (your email address and, if applicable, your name and telephone number) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. Data we receive in this connection will be erased as soon as their storage is no longer necessary, or, if we are subject to legal recordkeeping obligations, we will restrict the processing of such data.

(3) On our website, you have the option of applying online for vacancies that have been advertised or submitting an initiative application. If you make use of this offer, a new window will open with an application form. Here you will be directed to our service provider, Personio GmbH & Co. We store your applicant data for the duration of the review of your application. If your application is not successful or if you cancel your application, your application data will be deleted after a maximum of 6 months, unless you have expressly agreed to longer storage. In the event of a successful application, the data you have provided to us via the application system will be further processed in relation to your future employment with our company. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) a, b and f DSGVO and Section 26 BDSG.

If you do not provide us with the required personal data, this will not have any negative consequences for you. However, incomplete or inaccurately completed applications will not be considered. Unfortunately, without providing your personal data, the application cannot be submitted and will therefore be deleted.

Criteria for determining the duration for which personal data will be stored

(1) Data will be stored in compliance with applicable data processing laws and in conformity with legal recordkeeping obligations.
