For the purpose of statistical analysis of our website usage, we use Google Ads/Adsense, Google Remarketing, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Conversion Tracking, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and associated cookies that allow an analysis of your browsing behavior. This helps us improve the quality of our website and its content. We gain insights into how the website is used, enabling us to continuously optimize our offerings.

Your consent according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 15(3) of the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

We use the online advertising program “Google Ads” and, as part of Google Ads, Conversion Tracking. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), a company registered and operated under Irish law (registration number: 368047) with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google,” a subsidiary of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days, contain no personal data, and do not serve personal identification.

If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, making it impossible to track cookies across the websites of Ads customers.

The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad, were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag, and, for example, participated in a contest. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

You can prevent Google Ads from processing your data by preventing the storage of cookies through appropriate settings in your browser software. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.

For more information and Google’s privacy policy, please visit: www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ & https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Tag Manager from Google on our website. The Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags through an interface. The Google Tag Manager service itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect personal data. The Google Tag Manager service triggers other tags that may, in turn, collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation is made at the domain or cookie level, it remains for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, on our website. Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on our website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide us with other services relating to website usage and internet activity. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

We use Google Analytics on our website with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. This ensures that IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, preventing direct personal identification.

You can prevent the processing of your data by Google Analytics by:

Preventing the storage of cookies through the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent;
Downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de or

Google Ads
e-shelter security uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Ads enables us to display ads in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when users enter specific search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted ads can be displayed based on user data available at Google (e.g., location data and interests). We, as website operators, can quantitatively evaluate this data, analyzing which search terms led to the display of our ads and how many ads resulted in corresponding clicks.

The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Data transfer to the USA relies on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Google AdSense (non-personalized)
This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use Google AdSense in “non-personalized” mode. In contrast to the personalized mode, the advertisements do not rely on your previous user behavior, and no user profile is created for you. Instead, “contextual information” is used in the selection of advertisements. The selected ads may, for example, be based on your location, the content of the website you are visiting, or your current search terms. For more information on the differences between personalized and non-personalized targeting with Google AdSense, please refer to: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9007336.

Please note that even when using Google AdSense in non-personalized mode, cookies or similar recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting) may be used. According to Google, these are used to combat fraud and abuse. The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

You can adjust your advertising settings independently in your user account. Click on the following link and log in: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

Further information on Google’s advertising technologies can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Google Ads Remarketing
This website utilizes the features of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign individuals who interact with our online offering to specific target groups, subsequently displaying interest-based advertising to them within the Google advertising network (Remarketing or Retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to the cross-device functionalities of Google. This allows interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been tailored to your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., mobile phone) to be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can object to personalized advertising using the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

For further information and privacy provisions, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Data processing by LinkedIn Insight Tag
With the help of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we receive information about the visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can analyze various professional details (such as career level, company size, country, location, industry, and job title) of our website visitors to better tailor our site to specific target audiences. Furthermore, using LinkedIn Insight Tags, we can measure whether visitors to our websites make a purchase or take any other action (conversion measurement). The conversion measurement can also occur across devices (e.g., from PC to tablet). LinkedIn Insight Tag also offers a retargeting function, allowing us to display targeted advertising to visitors outside the website, with LinkedIn stating that no identification of the advertising recipient takes place.

LinkedIn also collects so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, and access time). IP addresses are shortened or (if used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymized). Direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 180 days.

The data collected by LinkedIn cannot be attributed to specific individuals by us as website operators. LinkedIn will store the collected personal data of website visitors on its servers in the United States and use them as part of its own advertising measures. For more details, refer to LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.

Legal basis
If consent (Consent) has been obtained, the use of the above service is exclusively based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. If no consent has been obtained, the use of this service is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media.

The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs. https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/

To object to the analysis of user behavior and targeted advertising by LinkedIn, use the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

Furthermore, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in the account settings. To avoid a connection between data collected on our website by LinkedIn and your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.
